TPD Elsa/Animals

Welcome!

TPD's 3rd project is designed to raise awareness for the importance in spaying and neutering your pets. The funds raised through this project will be given to a non-profit organization called Elsa's Ark Inc.
Elsa’s Ark, Inc. was formed in an effort to deal with the “Hidden Hamptons,” on the East End of Long Island, NY, where animals are abandoned, abused, and left to die.
Their focuses are:
1. The rescue, rehabilitation and home placement of animals who would not be accepted into mainstream adoption programs because of age, health or temperament.
2. The spaying/neutering, safety, feeding and medical maintenance of stray animals in the community.
3. Providing care, comfort and sanctuary to elderly and infirm animals. They have rescued dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, chickens and more. Care for these creatures is provided in their homes as they have no shelter.
Elsa's Ark Inc. provides a free spay/neuter program for all animals. They build and distribute feral cat shelters and dog houses. They coordinate & network with other animal rescue groups worldwide, including wildlife rescue. They provide long and short-term foster care for animals in their homes (They have no shelter but are working towards this goal) as well as providing hospice/veterinarian superivised medical care. They tame feral cats and adopt these animals out. They also house FIV/Leukemia positive cats.
DID YOU KNOW?
An unspayed cat, her mate and all of their offspring, producing 2 litters per year, with just 2.8 surviving kittens per year, can total:
1 year - 12
2 years - 64
3 years - 376
4 years - 2,107
5 years - 11,801
6 years - 66,088
7 years - 370,092
8 years - 2,072,514
9 years - 11,606,077
You should also know that an unspayed female dog and her mate can produce even more offspring than cats. The problem is real, but we can all do something about it!
SPAY & NEUTER!!!
TPD has decided to have a K-9 German Shepherd PEZ dispenser to represent Elsa's Ark and spread awareness. We of course named her Elsa!
Won't you please join us in helping this unique organization meet their goals in their spay/neuter program?
